All of our customers are a part of Baisikelis vision of
creating ”low-cost mobility” in Africa. All of our customers
have made a deal about delivering the bicycles back to Baisikeli
after 3-4 years of usage and have thereby obligated themselves
to do something good for some of the poorest and immobile people
in the world.

IKEA
Up to 20% of IKEA’s customers arrive on a bike. That makes it
very limited what these customers can then carry home from IKEA
on the back rack or in a basket. Baisikeli and IKEA have made
bicycles and trailers at IKEA warehouses that hereafter will be
free to loan for customers at IKEA. The trailer is designed to
be rebuilt in Africa and used to transport sick people to and
from heath facilities in Tanzania. Thereby the customers can
carry their goods home in an environmentally friendly way and
people in villages without medical care can get access to care
in neighboring villages.
NOVO NORDISK
Novo Nordisk is one of the world’s leading producers of
products in diabetes treatment. Novo Nordisk is known be very
careful when it comes to taking care of their responsibility as
a global actor, and when Baisikeli offered to help their
employees getting around the different Copenhagen divisions in
an environmentally friendly, healthy, quick and cheap fashion,
the road for a long and good collaboration was clear.
Baisikeli has made a total of 49 bicycles to Novo Nordisk’s
departments in Bagsværd, Hillerød and Kalundborg. The bikes are
being used mostly by the employees when they attend meetings in
the different buildings and departments. Previously they would
use cars to get between de locations in the organization.
